It’s widely accepted that having a higher FPS (Frames Per Second) in Call of Duty: Warzone can significantly boost your chances of winning. As a result, gamers have long sought ways to achieve the highest FPS without breaking the bank.
In today’s blog, I’ll be sharing my insights on how to build a budget-friendly setup that delivers 200 FPS at 1440p resolution.
Before diving in, let’s clarify what “budget” means in this context. We’re not talking about a build that costs €/$200-300, especially given that GPU prices are near all-time highs. Instead, we’ll aim for a setup in the range of €/$1,000 to €/$1,300 (excluding VAT).
Disclaimer: this is a theoretical setup and would require proper overclocking and undervolting on CPU as well GPU to reach 200+ FPS.
To start, since we’re aiming for a budget build, we'll focus on using AMD for both the CPU and GPU. This choice not only helps us save money but also allows us to take advantage of the resizable BAR feature, which can boost FPS right out of the box
CPU:
AMD 5800x
Great overall CPU, AM4 Platform and perfect for overclocking
Price: ~120 EUR/USD
GPU:
AMD 7900 XT
Excellent performance with minimal downside, extensive 20GB DDR6 allowing to game & stream on the same setup without any issues
Price: ~600 EUR/USD
Mainboard:
MSI B550-A Pro
Offers all options to easily overclock your system as well as X-AMP profiles
Price: ~85 EUR/USD
RAM:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4-3200, CL16-20-20-38
Probably the best RAM in combination with above Mainboard & CPU
Price: ~50 EUR/USD
Storage:
Samsung SSD 990 PRO 1TB, M.2
Best performance you can get for your money
Price: ~70 EUR/USD
CPU Cooler:
Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280
I use this myself and have ZERO issues with heat
Price: ~60 EUR/USD
PSU:
be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W ATX 3.0
Enough power supply and safety for your components
Price: ~100 EUR/USD
Case:
This is now really up to each individual taste etc. but I strongly recommend to go with one that provides a good airflow
Price: ~100 EUR/USD
Fans:
This also heavily depending on each individual taste but calculate to use at least 3 - 5 fans to ensure proper airflow as you need to cool your GPU once your OC it
Price: ~100 EUR/USD
Summary 200 FPS Warzone build:
The components mentioned above will total approximately €/$1,285 excluding VAT. You could save a bit more by opting for less expensive options for storage, PSU, case, and motherboard. However, overall, this setup will comfortably deliver 200+ FPS while playing Call of Duty: Warzone.
